What first took shape three years ago within the quiet walls of the iconic BBE Store has since unfolded into something far more profound “I’m Soul Into You”, the vibrant party series that’s seen the likes of Handson Family, Craig Smith, Pete BBE, Chris Read, DJ Amir, Lord Byron, and Rosie From The Block behind the decks, is now stepping into the conversation space with a brand-new two-part podcast series: “I’m Soul Into You Presents: Break It Down.”

From its earliest days, I’m Soul Into You has been about more than just music — it’s been about community, culture, and the full spectrum of Black dance music. From deep soul, funk, and disco, to house, broken beat, and hip hop, the event became a hub for DJs and listeners to celebrate and explore the roots and evolution of these sounds.

Now, that same spirit continues through sound and conversation. Hosted by Omotosho and Mr. Asabere, Break It Down dives headfirst into the anatomy of a single track each episode — dissecting lyrics, production, rhythm, and meaning with both passion and precision.
