Red Raider Recon is a weekly show in its first season. The show is hosted by Clint Scott and Rob Breaux and is available on YouTube and wherever you find your podcasts. RRR’s run time is generally about an hour and the episodes drop every Wednesday at 10:00 am. In the show Clint and Rob have numerous segments (outlined below) that work through the previous week before focusing the bulk of the show on the upcoming Texas Tech game and the Big 12.
Red Raider Recon isn’t afraid to be a bit silly, highlighted by the humorous cold opens, but prides itself on being well researched when talking about the nitty gritty.
About the Hosts:
Rob currently hosts the Double T 97-3 Coors Light Postgame Show, the End of the Bench on 100.7 the Score and has been in sports media for a decade talking about Texas Tech and the Big 12 via the airwaves and through his writing online. This is his second football season at Ramar.
Clint is the host of the legendary Lubbock sports radio program Tech Talk on Double T 97-3 and brings his brand of sports talk to everything he does. After growing up in Kansas, Clint came to Lubbock in 2012 and never left. Clint has been at Ramar since 2020 and has excelled in various roles.
The duo’s chemistry shines through working together on various projects surrounding Texas Tech, but that chemistry was built through a decade-long friendship outside of the building.

Three Thoughts Segment:
To quickly (or as quickly as Clint and Rob podcast) recap the previous Week’s Texas Tech game, both hosts give three thoughts about the game. Our focus on these episodes is geared toward looking ahead, but we do generally take at least the first third of the episode to reset the table for the upcoming week. One host will give his thoughts, followed by the second host’s three thoughts.
Big 12 Players of the Year (of the Week):
Both Clint and Rob highlight an offensive and defensive player of the week from a Big 12 Team. Not always a Red Raider, but Jacob Rodriguez, Will Hammond and Skyler Gill-Howard have all won the prestigious award.
Big 12 Overreactions/Bold Predictions (Depending on the Week):
We either do a couple of overreactions from the previous Big 12 week of games or make a couple of predictions for the next few games.
Team Preview of upcoming game:
Self explanatory, but we dig into the weekend’s opponent focusing on what they do well and some potential matchups that Texas Tech could exploit.

A look around the weekly schedule of the Big 12.
The Fan Question of the Week:
We answer a question from a listener. We pull these from the youtube comment section and/or social media.
