A ratio is a way to compare two numbers. It shows how much of one thing there is compared to another. If you have 3 apples and 1 orange, the ratio of apples to oranges is 3:1. A Ratio Calculator helps you find or simplify ratios. You type in the numbers you want to compare, and it does the math for you. This makes it easier to figure out the exact relationship between two things. Ratios are everywhere! In recipes, you might see a ratio of 2 cups of flour to 1 cup of sugar. If you’re using a map, the ratio helps you understand distance, like 1 inch on the map equals 100 miles in real life.
