Everything Pagan When the word ‘Pagan’ is mentioned, most people will immediately think of ancient history; of the predominantly polytheistic and pantheistic religions of the pre-Christian, past. Now, of course, there is absolutely no question that Christianity has been by far the most influential religion in the development of European culture over the last two thousand years. Nonetheless, it’s worth reflecting on the older Pagan heritage that underlies it.
