The Promise of the Garden
Manage episode 517500686 series 3132359
We’re kicking off our brand-new Christmas series, From the Promise to the Manger!
This week, I’m taking you all the way back to the beginning, the Garden of Eden. Before there was a manger, before the angels sang or the shepherds gathered, there was a promise. The very first promise of a Savior.
In this episode, we’ll look at Genesis 3:1–15 and Romans 5:12–21 to see how God’s plan for redemption began the moment sin entered the world. We’ll talk about what it means that Jesus is the serpent-crusher, how the first sacrifice in the Garden pointed to the cross, and why Christmas is really about a promise kept.
You’ll also hear this week’s Family Challenge, a fun way to help your family reflect on “God’s first promise” and what it means for us today.
So, grab your Bible, gather your family, and join me as we begin this journey from the Promise to the Manger.
